The Gallery
Nestled in historic Burns Court, Sarasota, Florida, B+TB Gallery (Beauty & the Beads) is a boutique gallery and working studio showcasing art and fashion jewelry designed by Martha Nikla and other accomplished artisans. The Gallery also offers an eclectic collection of unusual, exotic beads and components from around the world to designers and collectors.
The Studio
The unique space also encompasses the workshop of B+TB which enables the Gallery to create custom work on the premises and gives customers the opportunity to experience a working jewelry studio.
Martha has been designing and fabricating beaded art and fashion jewelry for more than twenty-five years. Her studio/gallery is open from November through May.
She is recognized as creating unique, intricately hand-crafted pieces embodying metalsmithing and beading techniques using materials acquired through Fair Trade Principles.
Her work has been featured in galleries, modeled on runways, published in books and magazines, and shown at Saks Fifth Avenue, the Florida Craftsmen Gallery, the Morgan Museum and the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City.
Burns Court
The Gallery/Studio is located in Historic Burns Court, a District listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the heart of Sarasota. A short walk from Main Street and the Bayfront, the area is an eclectic mix of studios, retail shops, an independent film cinema, cafes, and much creative talent.
